Prasol Chemicals Ltd has opened its mainboard initial public offering for public subscription. Bidding is available from 8 September through 10 September 2026, while the UPI mandate deadline is 5 pm on the closing day.
The specialty-chemicals company has fixed the price band at ₹643 to ₹676 per equity share of face value ₹2. The issue is a book-built offering aggregating up to ₹500 crore and is proposed to list on the NSE and BSE, with NSE as the designated stock exchange.
Anchor-investor bidding was scheduled for 7 September, ahead of the public issue opening.
Fresh capital is smaller than the offer-for-sale portion
The Prasol Chemicals IPO includes two distinct components: a fresh issue of equity shares worth up to ₹80 crore and an offer for sale, or OFS, of up to ₹420 crore by existing shareholders.
The fresh issue will create new shares and provide proceeds to Prasol Chemicals. The company has said the funds are intended for repayment or prepayment of certain borrowings, working-capital requirements and general corporate purposes.
By contrast, proceeds from the ₹420 crore OFS will go to the selling shareholders. This portion does not provide capital to the company.
That makes the offer structure an important point for readers evaluating the transaction. Although the issue size is up to ₹500 crore, the amount of new capital proposed to be raised by Prasol Chemicals is up to ₹80 crore.
The IPO consists of up to 73,96,437 equity shares. This includes a fresh issue of up to 11,83,431 equity shares and an OFS of up to 62,13,006 equity shares.

What Prasol Chemicals makes
Prasol Chemicals operates in India’s specialty-chemicals industry. Its product range includes acetone-based and phosphorus-based specialty chemicals, along with other differentiated chemical products.
Its products are used across pharmaceutical manufacturing, agrochemical active ingredients and formulations, and home and personal-care applications. The end-use categories include sunscreens, shampoos, flavours, fragrances and disinfectants.
The business therefore has exposure to industrial as well as consumer-facing applications. However, the company’s business prospects, risks and financial position should be assessed through its formal offer documents rather than broad narratives about the specialty-chemicals sector.
Prasol Chemicals was incorporated in 1992 as Prachi Poly Products Private Ltd. The company adopted the name Prasol Chemicals in 2007 and became a public company in 2022. The current offering is its first public issue of equity shares.

RHP addendum is part of the final record
The Securities and Exchange Board of India hosted Prasol Chemicals’ red herring prospectus and abridged prospectus on 3 September 2026. An addendum to the RHP was subsequently filed on 7 September.
The RHP and its addendum should be read together for final information on the offer, including the fresh-issue objectives, risk factors, financial statements, capital structure, promoter and shareholder disclosures, litigation details and timetable.
JM Financial and DAM Capital Advisors are the book-running lead managers to the issue. KFin Technologies is the registrar.
No official subscription figure, allotment result or listing performance is available at the IPO-opening stage. Grey-market premiums and estimated listing prices are not official IPO metrics and should not be treated as confirmed indicators of demand or future market performance.
The indicative schedule points to a tentative allotment date of 11 September and a tentative listing date of 16 September 2026. These dates remain subject to confirmation through the final issue documents and exchange notices.
For now, the key development is that the Prasol Chemicals IPO is open. The subscription response, final offer documents and later allotment and listing disclosures will provide the next verified milestones for investors tracking the issue.
