Wipro reports September quarter results on October 15 after market hours. Its guidance implies IT services revenue between a 1.5 per cent fall and a 0.5 per cent rise in constant currency.

Results Due After Market Hours

Wipro’s board met on October 14 and 15 to approve results for the quarter ended September 30, 2026. The company said in a filing that the results would be approved on Thursday, October 15. The announcement follows after market hours, with senior leaders set to discuss the quarter and the first half of FY27.

Wipro shares rose about 1.82 per cent on Wednesday, Kotak Neo reported. The stock has fallen 38 per cent in 2026 and hit a 52-week low of ₹165 on September 11, according to Daily Financial. Upstox put the fall at 39 per cent from the start of the year.

Guidance Implies a Flat Quarter

For the September quarter, Wipro guided for IT services revenue of $2.574 billion to $2.627 billion. That translates to sequential growth of between a decline of 1.5 per cent and a rise of 0.5 per cent in constant currency terms.

The guidance assumed these exchange rates:

  1. GBP/USD: 1.34
  2. EUR/USD: 1.16
  3. AUD/USD: 0.71
  4. USD/INR: 94.50
  5. CAD/USD: 0.71

June Quarter Sets the Base

In the June quarter, Wipro reported net profit of ₹3,360 crore. That was down 4.7 per cent from the March quarter and up 0.6 per cent from a year earlier. Earnings per share were ₹3.20.

Gross revenue was ₹24,480 crore, up 10.6 per cent from a year earlier and 1 per cent from the previous quarter, according to Upstox. Operating cash flow was ₹3,290 crore, or $348 million, which was 98 per cent of net income. The board approved an interim dividend of ₹2 per share of face value ₹2.

Brokerages Expect Modest Growth

Brokerages expect revenue to rise about 9 per cent from a year earlier and profit about 2 per cent on average, Kotak Neo reported. Another preview put revenue growth at nearly 8 per cent. Acquisitions help the year-on-year number, while the underlying business faces pressure from weak discretionary spending, pricing and share losses.

Axis Direct expects revenue to grow 1 per cent from the previous quarter to ₹24,601 crore, against ₹24,479 crore. It expects EBIT of ₹4,041 crore, up 5.5 per cent, and net profit of ₹3,445 crore, up 2.6 per cent. It said delayed deal ramp-ups and client issues in banking, financial services and insurance would weigh on growth. A higher contribution from the Harman acquisition would partly offset that.

Estimates for IT services revenue in constant currency point to a small decline:

  1. Emkay: a 1 per cent fall in dollar terms, including Mindsprint and AlphaNet.
  2. Jefferies: a 1.4 per cent fall in constant currency, near the low end of guidance.
  3. PL Capital: a 0.5 per cent fall in constant currency.

Margin Views Differ

Brokerages disagree on the operating margin. PL Capital expects EBIT margin to improve by 40 basis points from the previous quarter to 16.4 per cent. It credits favourable currency movements and cost synergies. Another preview said the absence of wage hikes could lift the margin by about 78 basis points to 16.4 per cent.

Axis Direct expects the EBIT margin to decline by 84 basis points from the previous quarter. These are brokerage estimates, not company figures.

Peers Set a Strong Tone

Wipro reports after TCS and HCLTech. TCS posted a 14.9 per cent rise in profit. HCLTech reported a 21.18 per cent rise in consolidated net profit to ₹5,132 crore. Stronger margins in advanced AI operations and lower tax outflow helped.

The Nifty IT index jumped 5.22 per cent on October 13, its biggest one-day gain in more than 17 months. The sector is still down 21.2 per cent this year, The Week reported, on concerns that generative AI could compress pricing.

What Investors Will Track

Kotak Neo said investors will watch the December quarter guidance. They will also track how fast large deals turn into revenue and the effect of AI-led services on growth. The company’s margin trend and its deal conversion are the other focus areas.

Tech Mahindra’s board will consider a dividend and a bonus issue along with its Q2 results, Business Standard reported.
